BMW has just released images and details about its all-new M2, which joins the M3, M4, M5, and M6 in the German automaker’s sports car lineup. Under the hood of the two-door coupe is an M TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter inline-6, rated at 365 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque, which sends power to the rear wheels through a traditional 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional M Double Clutch Transmission (M DCT). According to BMW, the M2 will sprint 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds (4.4 seconds with a human rowing the six-speed manual gearbox) and feature an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
The M2 goes on sale in the spring of 2016.
